‘168.3 mph’ Duran is MLB’s ‘fastest ball’ this season

Minnesota closer Joan Duran of Major League Baseball (MLB) threw the fastest pitch in the big leagues this season 먹튀검증.

Duran pitched 0.2 innings of scoreless relief against San Francisco at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on April 25. On the day, Duran threw 104.6 mph (168.3 km/h).

Duran faced three batters and threw 13 pitches. Three of those pitches exceeded 104 mph (167.3 km/h). He struck out the first batter, Blake Sabol, on a swinging strike.

Against the next batter, Wilmer Flores, Duran threw a 104.4-mph fastball for a strike. His next pitch touched 104.6 mph (168.3 km/h). Duran allowed a hit to Flores, but then threw a 104-mph fastball to the next batter, Casey Schmidt, for a swinging strike.

According to MLB, Duran’s 104.6 mph was the fastest fastball thrown in the majors this season. The previous mark was 103.8 mph thrown by Jordan Hicks and Aroldis Chapman. Duran’s previous fastball was 103.8 mph on Sept. 28 of last year against the Chicago White Sox, his longest outing in eight months.

Duran, who is in his second year in MLB, became just the eighth pitcher to throw a ball over 104 mph since the tracking system was introduced in 2008.
