Middle Eastern soccer powerhouse Saudi Arabia will compete in the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America in the United States as an invitational team.
Saudi Arabia will compete in the Copa America, a month-long tournament in the United States starting June 14, 2024, the Saudi Gazette reported. The kingdom was formally invited by CONMEBOL at last year’s CONMEBOL Congress in Doha during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, and after a period of deliberation decided to join the tournament 스포츠토토.
Saudi Arabia, along with Egypt and Greece, are jointly bidding for the upcoming 2030 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The country is investing heavily in sports and engaging internationally. Qualifying for the Copa America is part of that.
Next year’s Copa America will feature a total of 16 teams, led by the 10 members of CONMEBOL, with CONCACAF and Saudi Arabia as invited teams.
